Blog break activities: Wollemi National Park

Sub-zero camping at Wollemi National Park. NSW.
A pest of Suzuki’s
Pepper the remote camping ground with perky sputterings.

One aged specimen stumbles -
Consternation!

After beer and animated discussion, is jacked up all askew, like a horse with one leg up, waiting for its foot to be shod.

Tattooed blokes lie on frozen tarps,
freezing fingers fumble and eyes peer hopefully.
More concerned discussion.

Eventually receives tender ministrations as beefy arms delve deep into its gizzards:
the healing touch!

Later, much later, as beery shenanigans win over respect for fellow campers
the irritating visitors and their vehicles bounce jauntily across the tussocky grass.
Play follow the leader.
Dip and drink at the creek crossing.
Rattle up the other side, leaving parallel tracks of dampness to explore places further afield.

Leaving us once again to drink in the solitude.

Cool photo. Enjoyable post. And did it all conclude with a beer-up? If so, I thoroughly approve.

All the best, Boonie

Boonie, didn't think to pack beer. Silly us! It would have made the evening go much more smoothly.

Lee, thankyou, it's been a great break. A bit like long service leave for the self employed!
