Belated post for 11/11/11
Thinking of all those affected by bitter, divisive conflicts both past and present in far too many nations of the world. The service men and women as well as their families: husbands and wives, children and loved ones - they cross all cultures, religions and ethnic groups.

Hi Sue .. the cross cultural aspects of war .. all through time conflict has been dreadful .. power and control are appalling - generosity of spirit for all is sadly lacking - as we now have selfishness too.
It's important that we do remember - and Stand by Me is just the right song to be playing ..

Hilary, it really works for me, I'm glad you thought it right too.
Those "Playing for Change" videos are so cool. I've seen several of them and it's a very creative concept with a lot of talent involved in the making of them.
