aros. squeeeeeealing

.
Unused to having children next door
I flinch
with every earsplitting
squeal

A river of stones is a project started by Fiona &Kaspa to encourage people to engage with the world through writing. In 2011 we invited people to join us in writing a small stone each day during January. Get involved.

Before our last move, we lived in a house with a kindergarden as nearest neighbor. At that time it was very practical, since we had our kid (only one at that time) in that kindergarden. We looked after the kindergarden's house in the weekends and (with approval) used the outdoor facilities for BBQ and volleyball parties in the summer. Very nice >:)

CaH: Living next door to a kinder or school would certainly be convenient when the kids are young. I imagine it's like living next to a railway line, that you eventually don't hear the noises.

graceful glider: Sometimes it just happens without me trying. When I try too hard my writing is clunky.
