K. Knowledge

“My wife doesn’t need to work” a man bragged recently. Sadly he came across as a bit of a know-all, you know the kind?

His wife had kept the knot of distress hidden, she knew how it felt to be kicked in the gut. She was keen to share her extensive knowledge and kindness with kids who had a crappy life at home. She felt they were kindred spirits and wanted to kindle a love of learning, instead knowledge was seeping away.

It was a bit of a knotty problem for her to learn not to kow-tow to her husband.

A Drabble is a story told in 100 words No more, no less.

Here tomorrow: Lighten up! and a CELEBRATION

I don't know how you come up with these day after day. I would be spending my whole day glued to a dictionary/thesaurus trying to do this and I am certain it still wouldn't come out as effortlessly as yours does.

Dafeenah, it's very busy in here, and a bit exhausting at times but it mostly just happens with some tweaking. I do use a dictionary, but that's not unusual for me. I'm one of those people who gets pleasure from words and can read a dictionary for fun. (gosh that sounds really weird now I write it) I'm glad you're enjoying them.

Sue said...

Mercy, thanks :)
Siv Maria, I didn't know you'd lived in Melbourne. Shhh, don't give anyone the idea! I count them in word, and trust it completely.

I know 2 Narcissist men like that. The red flags are always there but so many women mistake them for love. Women need to be educated. Narcissists can never be cured so just get away.
I agree with the other comments. You are amazing.Better to read the dictionary then the phone book. Ha
I love my hyperlink. Thank you

This chat about 100 words reminded me there is a website where you write 100 words a day. no more, no less. I used for about three months when I was stuck for ideas.
I'm working on my knowledgeable wife to buy me a Kindle.

Sometimes what we "know" in our relationships is not what is really true and we actually know very little.
