It’s challenging to convey the complex ideas clearly, but surely no one wants a cataclysm or catastrophe?
Couldn’t we curtail our ceaseless consumption so we don’t end up down the creek without a canoe or a paddle?
Down the creek without a paddle - or a canoe. |
Children with learning difficulties are often chided by usually caring teachers for being careless with their ABC’s. Sometimes the teachers use contemptuous words like “CRAP!” The kiddies cringe; they’re trying as carefully as they can – they can’t do more.
Often, so painfully often, they cry themselves to sleep and dread the constant cry of “FAILURE”. Many seek counselling as adults even though they have proven themselves to be creative and courageous. The constant misunderstanding and contemptuous criticism felt catastrophic - simply too cruel. Unfortunately some get caught in a life of crime because the mainstream community has shunned them so consistently.
Some people with learning difficulties feel like they just don't belong. |

Lovely post! I agree on both points. People are much more concerned about lining their pockets than actual change. Their "fixes" always seem to cause new problems. The cycle ensures they keep getting rich.
Great C letters and thought openers :)
Sue, between your two blogs you are hitting on so many of my own personal experiences with your A-Z posts. My hat, if I wore one, would go off to you.
On an unrelated note, please divulge the secret of posting a link as your signature in a comment. It's driving me *insane* trying to work it out!
Nicely done!
Wonderful post! Those opportunists you describe remind me of what used to be known as carpetbaggers here in the States during Reconstruction (post Civil War era). Many of the climate-changers don't seem to be truly concerned about modifying their own lifestyles. They're just in it to make a quick buck and don't care about the cost or consequences of the drastic measures they're proposing. Makes you wonder what sort of childhood they had.
I really enjoyed your "C" post and find that I agree with you on all your points, especially the Climate issue. Will return for the other "letters"!
Good post. My brother is the only one in a family of readers who refuses to read because teachers were merciless on him while he had dyslexia.
You're doing double sets of A-Z posts? You're a saint!
Very clever posts too :)
