Tiny, almost insignificant spring flowers managing to survive in the desert

Beautiful and not insignificant at all! Made me think of William Cullen Bryant's The Yellow Violet:
Yet slight thy form, and low thy seat,
And earthward bent thy gentle eye,
Unapt the passing view to meet,
When loftier flowers are flaunting nigh.
Thanks ...

Jan, thankyou so much for sharing Bryant's lovely poem. It is so fitting for the tiny flowers.

Hilary, they're beautiful aren't they, and when in full bloom they can really look like a carpet of gold!
